Your right about that. So anyway, The IDI is acting up, the real fuel tank is leaking now so i dropped it. Also, still having electrical issues. I replaced the rear harness(that little plug to the lights and whatnot) and it restored running lights, the blinkers work BUT the left blinker flashes both rears, and the right blinker flashes the reverse lights??? any idea what that could be?

The ground may only flow so much electricity, or they could be grounding out. wherever the wires are touching steel make sure they are protected, and of course they could be touching each other due to poor insulation. but check your trailer plug wiring thats usually the culprit.

Bad grounds will cause the power to backfeed through other bulbs, making them light up also.

X2 on what bashby said.

It's weird how it happens, but thats what it does. Clean the ground wire where it hits the body and where its on the frame. See if it isn't working right after that...

Are you sure that one is the ground? If your running the 7pin rv plug there should be a gound on the plug itself, IIRC it's the white wire. Best get the test light out there and make sure everything is kosher.

Yup, white ground, brown tail lights, yellow = left stop/turn filament, green = right stop/turn filament.

Ford uses brown for the tail lights, so that's a direct color match. I'd have to look up the stop/turn colors on the truck side if you need 'em.

*edit* Just realized CJ06 just before me posted a link to the trailer diagrams.

Well I am not worried about pulling trailer, when I pull trailer it does the same thing, I am thinking about pulling my 86 harness from the connection at the rear of the truck forward, then going from there and seeing what happens.
