Well I had figured on running a 2 wire with a electrified wire inbetween the two that are electrified, I learned the hard way with electric fences, I was leaning toward barbed fences but idk....
barbed wire will work better than non barb will as the cows or horses get pricked and will back off as barbless wire they will continue to rub and try to get threw and the wire can cut them down to the bone !
best with barbed and electric together ! my opinion !
Really? I would think that thats just overkill and too expensive. If I do a barbed & electric I would of 2 strand barbed wire, 1 electric wire, and 1 poly electric wire.
See I dont want to be working my butt off. I have to get the following AT LEAST the following done by the time the snow flies:
Roadway cleared
Fence Put up(temporary is OK)
Stock, Horse, and flatbed Trailer stored out there
Camper off its side and back on jackstands
Power rehooked up
They dont have to get done in that order but it would be nice to get them all done. What do you think is the best course of action for this? I was thinking the following order:
Camper, Road, Fence, Camper, Power, Trailers.....Good enough for those?
The ranch i do some work for has both. Found out the hard way when i was trying clear some berry vines lol. It works best though. Like was said, i believe the barbed wire would be better because they learn not to screw with it and back off, where as non barbed they will keep rubbing on it. Take a drive round your neighbors fence lines, see what they did maybe?
And when going electric get a good fencer, get something that looks like a power substation and says weed burner on it.
x2, get the biggest one that you can find, you want one you can weld with, it makes a big diffrence once your fence gets some age on it, and gets weeds and jung drawing current off of it.

That it does....well I am home finally, I already got started on things. I got my flatbed trailer today....i had to replace the fuel filter, it had a hole in it....for some reason. But anyway, I leave on wednesday for washington for that tractor so I can look at it.
Ok guys, I went to the ranch instead, got a lot done in 5 days, new road, got the fence back up, and the camper is upright and on jacks again . I got pics coming, will throw them up soon.
