YEAH...it's Wednesday & the 1st day of Street Vibrations!
I guess in Reno at one of the casinos on Saturday at 8pm is a Wet T-shirt contest.
I wish hubby was into BIG crowds. I'd talk him into going. LOL!

Bruce- so any idea what time on Saturday? Like Jimmy said, we're only about 10 mins. away from V.C. or Carson, so give me a call/text when you head out that way if we're out riding I'll check it when we stop so we don't miss you or make you have to wait.
Also, don't forget to bring a camera!

Here's the schedule for Street Vibrations.
Note: Saturday in V.C. - the vendors,etc. opens at 8am -7pm. At some point (11am? i think) is when the girls can earn their beads.

 

Donna - Well, it's not that I really WANT to drive 60+ miles to look at this tank, but I've kind of run out of options here in Vegas. Either they have all been sold, the people don't return the emails or they just don't have what I want. Soooooo....basically I'm kind of forced to look elsewhere.

I even checked out a couple of them in San Diego because I'm going there next week for an oral board, so I figured maybe I could meet up with someone down there and bring the tank back. :-o

But we'll see how this goes today. I'm not really near his asking price, so I don't have much faith, but all I can do is try. If I get it, I'll definitely take pics after I get it home.

Sounds like everyone will have fun at Street Vibrations. I've never heard of it, but it sounds like a kick azz show that I'd love to go and take photos at. Especially with cars and crowds there. Always a fun photo taking experience doing that.

Here are a couple pics of the 636. The first couple pics are turn six at the classic course, and the last one is coming into the paddock. I got her with alot of left side damage, all the fairings and tank had substantial damage. But she came out okay.

Thanks guys. We're still undecided on any graphics/stripes. That's one of the things that's hardest to get used to I think, is the compact size of the bike. I'm only six foot, two fifteen-ish, but that is considered 'big" in the sportbike world. There are a couple little things to work out with the bike, and a lot of things to work out with me...lol. The guy on the black bike just behind me is my riding buddy, and he's helping me alot. I've never tracked an inline bike before, and that's all he has had. Other than the two wheels, it feels like this bike and my Duc couldn't be more different. But I'm lucky to have her, and very lucky to have the support of my lovely girlfriend in all this silliness. My photobucket account is odd, and I can't find any of my other albums. But most of my stuff and some of my adventures are on my Facebook page. I'm sure Mat knows there isn't much good riding around here, Bruce has the best country.....And yes, that's a bit of jealousy you detect in my typing...

 

Yes, the riding out here sucks azz. But not much you can do about it.

I talked to a guy on text yesterday morning about seeing his tank after he got off work last night. He was supposed to text me at around 6 pm when he got home from work. 6 pm comes and goes. I tried not to be too crazy and text him at 6pm because I understand that sometimes people do stuff after work. Well, I waited until frickin' 7:30 pm and no text, so I finally texted him and asked him if he was still available last night to show the tank. I received no text back at all.

I mean, really??? Why tell me earlier in the day that there is no problem for me to see the tank later that evening and then "disappear"???? Bad enough buyers do that when you are the seller of an item, but this is the first time I've actually had a seller disappear on me.

The hard part is, I'm pissed about this and want to tell the guy to go F himself because I just think that is a very bad way to do business, but, he has something that I want and can't get anywhere else at the moment. So, I'm kind of stuck trying to be "Mr. Nice Guy" and wait and see what happens. I figure that I'll wait until later this morning and text or call him and see what the deal is. Maybe something happened, who knows. Just frustrating.

Good luck to you. I hope you get ahold of the guy so you know what going on. I haven't seen anything here yet, but i do know of a aquarium shop here in Carson City, I'll see if they have anything or maybe a website for you to look at - (don't think they do though).
