September BS Thread

Hope this week starts out quickly, because I can hardly wait till Street Vibrations 2011!

Anyone coming to the Reno/Virginia City Street Vibrations Sept. 21- 25?
I believe the Virginia City titty parade is Saturday. Come on out & earn some beads!
I'll be there checking it out...real or fake? Hmm!
Hope to see you there.
If you ever get into saltwater, there are books that show what fish are generally compatible (nothing is a guarantee) with each other. That's what I use when I start to set up a tank.
Not sure what the "Hawaiian fish" is, but the "Nemo" fish is usually a type of clownfish.
(there are several types)Unfortunately the guy sold the 135 gallon tank before I got a chance to see it today. My second choice as also sold.
So, I'm waiting to hear from one other person, but I have a feeling it's sold too. So, my search continues.Rocket - I'm glad to hear you had a good weekend. I didn't get a chance to get out there this weekend.
We'll have to meet up and ride sometime soon. I can't remember the name of the Hawaiian fish. It has a hawaiian name, so that's probably why I can't remember it. LOL!
I'll keep my eyes peeled for a 125 or bigger tank for you. Keep me posted if you find something.
We just lost our Black Ghost (freshwater tropical fish), but we still have our Elephant Nose. He's getting to BIG! That's why we're looking for a bigger tank. We have a variety of fish - 3 fantail goldfish, 2 gouramis, a red tail shark, 3 sucker fish, a mollie, & the elephant nose (mini dolphin). Definately need a bigger tank cause they are outgrowing this one quick.
Lets make the best of this Tuesday, because tomorrow is hump day & the first day of Street Vibrations!
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

I want to try to organize a G2G for next year. Preferably after the middle of March so that I can take my vacation at that time. Next year marks 7 years with the casino and I get 3 weeks vacation.
I would like to get everyone together at the same time if possible. If not we can do it in both the Vegas area and the Reno area. Or nearby
If anyone knows of an area where we can meet and possibly have a pot luck let me know please.
Well, I'm driving out to Pahrump tomorrow (ya, 60+ miles) to take a look at a nice 135 gallon. The question will be, will they drop their price to the amount of cash I have waving in my hand in front of his face. LOL I didn't ask him over the phone...sometimes cash in hand is worth more than words over a phone.
As for the Lionfish, yes, it's poisonous, but that doesn't mean you can't have other fish in the tank. You just have to be careful on what other fish you put in there. The biggest thing is...you don't really want to put your own hands in the tank. It's spines are poisonous and if they get you, it hurts like a biotch!!!!
So, I would advise to be really careful. There are only a limited number of fish that are compatible with the lionfish. I would definitely get a book on the matter of compatibility. If I didn't already pack my book away, I would tell you what the title is.I'll let you know how things go with the tank "viewing" tomorrow. LOL

If you get it, take pics. I'd love to see it.
It will be awhile yet before we get into a saltwater set up(probably around income tax time) Gotta get some bills paid off first. LOL!

That sounds like so much fun! I hope it all works out so that the majority of members can participate. Ofcourse, with the economy being in the ****ter, it might be more feezable to have 2 GTG's - L.V. area & Reno area.
