Good darn question, Bruce! I can't believe it's already been a week since my surgery...plus, a darn week or two since my interview and I haven't heard anything. It's really ticking me off now. :-( I was supposed to hear yesterday and didn't. It's not looking too good.
I think I'm going to call her back right now to find out what's up.
We get to help our neighbors pack/move to thier new house this weekend.
I'm thinking an epideral is sounding pretty good about now! Atleast there's free beer & food.
I agree with Bruce...everyone take the rest of the day off today and enjoy it! :-)
They are starting the 9/11 rememberance events here in Vegas (Fremont Street Experience) today. My wife and I are going down there today to shoot the car show that starts at noon. Hopefully we'll get some good shots. :-)
Tomorrow morning we are going to do the walk for 9/11 victims. We have to be there at like 5:30 am, but it will be worth it. I was going to do the motorcycle ride as well, but since I just had my lasik surgery, I can't ride my motorcycle for another three weeks. So, I'm out for that.
Anyway, I found out this morning that I didn't get the job that was to start on 9/19. Oh well, I had a feeling since it was taking so long for a decision. I did apply for 3 more jobs yesterday and still have other pokers in the fire with other jobs that take much longer to process. Hopefully one of those will come through soon. We'll see how it goes. Maybe there is a reason we're being delayed...who knows. LOL
However, I did find out today that my media credentials have been approved to shoot the Justin Timberlake PGA Shriners Golf Tourney coming up on 10/1 & 10/2 in Summerlin. I also have been approved for the NASCAR Truck Series race on 10/14 - 10/16 and the NHRA Fall Nationals on 10/31 - 11/1. So, if we are still here through October, I'm going to be one busy guy with the camera. LOL
Anyway, maybe by tomorrow I'll have some cool car show shots for you guys & gals to look over.
Well, the wife and I just got home from the 9/11 Remembrance Walk that was held here in Las Vegas today. Very cool. Our numbers were 2339 & 2340. I know we saw numbers up to 2730+, so there were quite a few people down there running/walking for it. It was really a cool thing to do this morning in addition to the car show yesterday. Plus, we got it done before the rain/thunderstorms that are due to hit today.
I just thought I'd post up a link to the pictures that I finished working on from the 9/11 Remembrance Car Show that was at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas on Friday afternoon. It's not a ton of pictures, but I hope you all enjoy them.
Yup, it seemed like it was a Chevy Only show when we first got there. That's all there seemed to be initially. There wasn't as many cars as I thought there would be, so we covered as much as we could with what was there. Then they all seemed to leave earlier than what the website said they were going to leave, so I think we missed a few as well.
I thought the "Lambo" type doors on the Challenger were pretty darn cool, so I had to get a shot of them and I also agree about the Vette's spider decor. It was a nicely done; not to mention the vanity plate.
