Thanks for the pictures! That's a beautiful tank. Good job!
How much was it?
Thanks Miss Donna. I ended up paying $250 for the tank, stand, canopy, a biofilter (the type with bioballs in it), two Rio water pumps, an Optima air pump, a Vecton UV unit, an Ozonizer (or something like that), a Coralife electronic ballast for 2 bulbs (makes them come on instantly instead of blinking and taking a minute like normal fluorescents do), a 300 watt Askoll heater, a Berlin protein skimmer and...uhhhh...I think that's it.
I finally got done cleaning EVERYTHING today and was able to put the tank back on the stand by myself (ya, don't ask. LOL). Oh and the design glass was taken off because I'm going to have the tank drilled for drain and return lines. I didn't want them accidentally cracking that glass panel, so I untaped it and took it off the back. I'll put it back on once I get the tank drilled. So, that's why you can see through the back of the tank in these pics.
Left front side (5 foot long by 2 foot high)
Right front side (5 foot long by 2 foot high)
Side view (18" deep)
Top - Showing the doors
Extra stuff I got with it that I put into the stand
Anyway, enjoy the pics.
Plus, I agree with you and Gigger...kids really need to be disciplined again in school and at home. They get away with WAYYYY too much and people wonder why crime is up and kids are so disrespectful now a days. If parents would just pay attention to their kids, things might not be so bad.
Mat, once again I agree.............some obedience training is required for lack of other words.........
I am not a mean person by nature..............
I agree Gigger. I'm not mean by nature either...more protective, if anything. However, there is a certain amount of respect that someone still has to give initially, even before it's earned. This is especially true with children to adults. My step-son is 9 1/2 and I try to instill that into him whenever he is dealing with people and other situations. So far I'm thrilled that we've been lucky enough that he is a very good person.
Donna, do you just have the one child at home now?
I have 3 children -
Cambria is 20, lives in TX. w/ her husband & is due w/ my first grandchild in Dec.
Karl is 12 & lives w/ me. (he's the one that's currently in trouble)
Kaedon is 11 & lives w/ me. (she's my preemie girl)
I swear, Karl & Kaedon can get along awesome most of the time being so close in age, but boy oh boy...when that sibling rivalry kick in - watch out!
Maybe I'll get them a boxing ring/gloves for xmas!
Wow!...Thanks for agreeing! I'm amazed at how many parents feel this way.
Maybe if parents made their voices heard at school board meetings, congress, etc. oh hell...might as well get the president involved too, maybe we could get discipline back in schools. I'm serious! That's the only way that we as parents are going to be heard & taken seriously, right?
There's gotta be an easier way though.
All I can do from here is offer support to you & work with my local school board & that,....
I do drive a school bus so I get to see how they act when the parents are not there....
