So what are the current thoughts on the best TT tire?
I have a brand new 2021 keystone bullet and I replaced the tires it came with from the factory with Goodyear Endurance trailer tires. Did a lot of research and that came back as the most popular. I didn't wait for a blowout, just replaced them preemptively.
I knew y'all would have the answer. I'll be checking with my tire guy tomorrow. On a separate note, the champion 2k duel fuel generator did great. Ran it on propane. Got several complements on how quiet it was. I will be buying a second one to run in tandem to power the whole camper (30 amp).
I got Goodyear to warranty my 4 Marathon tires (two had tread separation, the other two not) and replace them with Endurance tires. I was told by an employee that they never should have put the Marathons on my 7-8k# trailer. I then went on a 2k mile trip this past March and for the 1st time, did not have a tire problem.
I have Goodyear Endurance tires on my camper, couldn't be happier with them. For the lesser used car hauler I have Maxxis tires on it. Now the boat trailer needs tires.
We enjoyed our first trip hauling a small (rented) travel trailer and camping over the past few days. The Ex wasn't as sure-footed as I thought it might be with the 6k lbs trailer. I did have a bunch of gear and people in the truck as well as some gear in the trailer. Kind of hard to know exactly what to expect with this being our first time. I'm sure the squat had something to do with it and I'm guessing air bags would be a good idea. Hopefully everyone had a good enough time to ensure this won't be the last time!

Sounds like a good time. Last fall I picked up an '01 v10 Excursion to tow my new to me camper. It has done pretty well, but each trip I am dialing the setup in more. Adjusting the WDH setup and the way I pack the camper to improve the towing experience. We are heading out this weekend again for some boondocking.

Try considering a Weight Distribution Hitch to transfer weight forward to the steering axle.
I can't find it now, but I know I've read on the forum, probably in this thread, of a hitch that some of yall have replaced the factory one with. Heavier weight rating I believe. I can't remember the brand. Can anyone clue me in?

Looks great. Hope you enjoy your trip this weekend!

Definitely agree. I didn't have any sway control or WDH this go around. Thanks!
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant a replacement for the factory truck mounted receiver/hitch. After pulling trailers for over 20 years behind my ex the pin hole has egged out. And yes, a pro pride is on the list.

Curt makes a replacement receiver hitch for the EX that pretty closely matches the factory hitch, TorkLift makes a really beefy dual receiver hitch that's rated at 2000lbs tongue weight (on either hole) and 20K trailer weight. I have the TorkLift 20K hitch on my tow rig wagon and have been very happy with it.
