There were a few companies that made them, but most folks didn't buy them. If you were smart, however, you did, as cooling was a constant problem in warmer climates, and any kind of forced circulation was a vast improvement.
A genuine fuel pump would have also made a nice improvement, as taking steep hills with a low tank level would get you into fuel delivery trouble unless you backed uphill to keep the tank above the carburetor.
