Phone at the house rang at 4:11, Coolant leak on a vaccum furnace, came in to find out that the operator had blown a hose and it had been leaking from 4:00 until 4:35 when I got in, he didnt know how to turn it off..
So I get the line turned off, and the operator then tells me that one of my cooling fans shut off about an hour earlier. This turns off for one reason, no flow, as I get ready to run back into the main building, 2 more lines blow. IT is 1750* in the furnace, no coolant flow, so I have steam.
I get into the building to find that no, my motor is not running
Here is the kicker, I have had a problem with my cooling system for over 3+ years, but not allowed to repair due to money. I then get my parts 2 years ago, but can not get the pumps because it will interupt production.
I got the go ahead to do a complete overhaul of my cooling system pump room for this weekend, and this happens today! .
Anyhow, we have parts that need to run through the furnaces, and as well as an EB welder that is shut down, I have no happy people. We drained about 400 gallons out of the system and now getting ready to replace pumps and valves, and somehow, this is my fault.
If all goes well, I should have the first machine on line Friday, maybe the second one on Saturday, and the last Monday..
Good morning Pat. Damn, hope the rest of your week goes better! It sounds like it has to. I'm driving to TC in a few. Take my son in law to the hospital to have his pain pump worked on. Need more coffee first.
Yep, it's Good Friday! Have a good day! What a trip yesterday. When we left about 6am the roads were really icy and slick as all get out. We didn't get 10 miles out of town and there were all kinds of people spun out into the ditches and snow banks. I thought the day went pretty good for us until we had a good old blow out. I don't have to explain what kind of ordeal that was. NOW they will always know where the lug nut key is for that Liberty damnit.
