Ah, yeah. It was the '65. It had never been THAT muddy the whole time I've owned it. They had lot's of fun using the 4wd that day. I found two empty wine bottles in a potato chip bag in the box even. I didn't have to say a word to 'em. The next two days they learned every nut and bolt and inch of the truck, inside, outside, frame and chassis and engine compartment. Those 3 girls worked hard cleaning the first day, laying under the truck washing the frame and everything. I felt a little for them and helped the next day. The three of them had the truck in the local show that summer. They know every little thing about it. I mean the brand of main bearings, bore and stroke, type and brand of pistons, gears etc. I'll try to find a picture of the show. Three girls with a old truck, BIG cooler of bottled beer on ice sitting out and matching torn up tshirts with the '65 on the back. They got loads of attention. When they're all here at once I leave the house!
Our Rain is to stop today they say...... I dont believe them ! lol Kids had/ have Track Meets all week and they have not made one yet.. bet they canceling today too.
LotAll this rain is also washing out the Roads and making for a lot of Sink Holes.
I measured out my Garden last Night ( making it bigger) and gez of pezzzzz lots of Work to do and cant do any !
Wow Jasmine, sinuses and TMJ both? I gave up on doing anything outdoors. There were kids in a canoe on the golf course road yesterday and I guess the Kmart parking lot had 3 foot of water on it at one point.
I have a new steering stabilizer to put on but its going to wait. When I looked at the original bracket on the pass side I thought screw it. I remember early winter getting stuck bad and had to be pulled by my buddy's Super Duty. I was in muck OVER the front axle and over a stump. You can guess what happend to the bracket.
Wish I could see it. I actually have a son in law coming over soon to give a price on a new roof and it's pouring!
All I need here is a little oxy/acetelyne and custom hammer work.
It's that bright thing that feels good!
I'm off to buy some of that stupidly expensive Blue Buffalo dog food for the dogs. Herself says "No Chris, you can't give them Gravy Train and pour a mug of beer on it to make gravy anymore". Geez. I'm going to drive by Kmart and see if the lot is still flooded and get a free chassis wash before I work on the truck. Stay dry!
