My Mother's Day was great & ended on a "positive" note!
I received a call from my 20 y/o daughter in Texas to wish me a Happy Mother's Day & to let me know that I'm going to be a grandma!
She had just gotten done reading the results of her home pregnancy test & called me 1st to share the news.

This forum features a visitor messaging system that allows members to send messages to one another publicly.
If you do not want to receive visitor messages, you may disable the visitor messaging system.
Enable Visitor Messaging
The above is enabled, but I don't see a 'Private Messaging' option. Hmmmm....

Visitor messages are different than Private messages.
For PM, go to UserCP, then Edit Options, and down a bit is a section for Private Messaging with some options.
Visitor messages are public and show up on your profile page. Private messages, well you know what those are.
