I guess I could sell my 2003 SV1000S, get $4k and build a sick truck, but then again I enjoy 170mph

Yes, but all these guys are like "they are so cool! I want one, I'm making one, its soing to be awesome!"

But if you are the guy that gets to drag it out of the mud, up the hill, and so on, its not so awesome.. I'm going to have to do some digging and find some video proof....

I found some, I have to edit them so they are not so dam long and will post them tomorrow around this time or later.

Then why not chrome a toy and hang it off a real trucks bumper.

Thats a great price for a running deuce and even I would be in the market for one at that price. I will say that purchase was the oddity. I think you'll find most running driving deuces go for around 2-2500. The $1000 figure often includes the driveshafts and t-case.

then maybe you should post in the other sections and leave the OFFROAD section for those who build and actually wheel mudders/rockcrawlers/trail rigs.

JEEEZ, a little testy aren't ya'?
Reread what I said: "It's a TRUCK not a mudder, but I'm still going to have one someday"

You can't pull one little section out of a quote and crucify someone for it.

Your all pissed-off because I want ONE???????????

I dont care if you want one. I think if you reread what I said you'll find that I would even be interested in one myself for the right price. I think you will also see in the numerous post above that I think deuces are cool....BUT, they are waaay too big and waaay too heavy and waaay too slow to be any good for much of anything outside of being a cool good for nothing money trap.

Now, IF someone were to slap a 5th wheel on one they would make one helluva toy hauler provided you could get a little more power out of the thing.

yeah it was a steal thats why he bought it. the guy had 2 more just like it for sell also. but yes typically $1000 will pick up a pair of axles in most places however around here they go for about $800. he originally bought it for the axles to put under his jeep. sold the jeep. now we wanna turn it into a toy for the farm and haul out deer with it. slight overkill to have a deer hauler with rockwells and 54" mich's but the bucks get big in ohio lol

A good medium duty truck motor and a 10sp trans would make a helluva difference too.

Im thinking DT466 or a Cat inline with maybe some juice squirter and hair dryer work.

turbo=hair dryer. juice squirter i assume would be propane, water, or methanol injection. not too up to snuff on deezle crap.

i almost bought a 2 1/2 ton back when i was 18. $2500 for a complete good condition low mile truck. would have been cool, but completely pointless. I do agree however on the dt466 as the multifuel engines are weak and expensive to deal with, and these big *******s actually have the room for a dt engine as well as a matching bellhousing and clutch setup iirc. would be a cool as cat shyte hauler/driver for a working man. my sister said they were huge shyte boxes from when she was in the army. also said the steering is garbage and the steering wheel is as big as a hula hoop.
