how was Aruba? We are planning next winters trip, me personally I like the tropics, getting out of the cold for a week or 2 is always good.
It was wonderful. Safest island in Caribbean, and you can drink the water. Weather was perfect every day, & hot but a strong wind made it comfortable. We rented a UTV & explored the whole island ourselves, which I highly recommend. You have tropical paradise on one side & it's almost like a dessert on the other. Very beautiful & we'll probably go back again mainly because of the safety factor.

tourism is a HUGE part of the economy there. We saw 2 cruise ships docked at the capital city. Stayed at an all inclusive resort which i dont care for as I hate people in general, and crowds. But there are many places away from the big resorts that were wonderful. They take dollars everywhere.
