Scott...GREAT JOB on the century...glad you and the other guy didn't get more banged up with the slide on the ice!!! and nice job of motivating the rest of the riders too!...and to think a week ago you were in the hospital with tampons in your nose...now do you have hygiene pads on your knee?
Good morning Joe! Well went to see mom last night and she doctor'd me up hehe.
Well I got up around 0445 this am and was pretty sore, so I hopped on the saddle and spun for around 2 hours and feel great. I needed to do that or my body would probably lock up hehe. Have a great day, its time for breakfast.
Well sunny and nice out, so I grilled some chicken, steaks and brauts out for the entire family.....even mom and paps came over too. Then I got a call from my cycling buddy and he is wanting to spin late this afternoon......so looks like I might ride yet again today hehe. Hope my body doesnt fail me now...
Greetin's from the Glenn Springs neck of the woods!
Very little is happening yet with the fishing scene, but it sure was nice out (65 degrees, I kid thee not). I took the time to refill one of my smaller rods with new line, and had a good chat with a Gunny Sargent who turns up every so often with his son (the youngster is an expert at bringing in bluegill and brim when no one else can even get a nibble).
There was still a bit of snow under the trees, but I could swear I saw some green coming out on things other than pine... I had to look twice, because I thought I was imagining it. Look sharp for leaf buds to come out on trees and bushes, that will be a good sign that we may just be done with winter for this year!
There was also about a four foot long cottonmouth flattened in the parking lot - there's good and bad in that: On the plus side, if the snakes are beginning to come out it's another sign of a warming trend. The down side of course, is that there are snakes out and about.
It would have seemed a lot warmer if it hadn't been so doggoned windy out there. HOWEVER! There was also some eye-candy around; coupla young Ladies turned up here and there believe it or not and gave whole new meaning to "Watchable Wildlife"
Shucks - what was I supposed to be trolling for if the catfish weren't biting?
(Besidezzz - that's a different thread)
I give it this - you didn't miss anything. 'Gunnies kid was the only one who caught anything, but then: The fish he goes after I didn't expect to be near the shore yet, so what does that say?
He caught them early in the day. Around three or four PM they were just toying with his lines...
FWIW: They were using plain old worms.
(GUNNY is the guy who taught me how to use turkey liver)
AND ANYWAY I WASN'T STALKING!
(But I sure was watching their stockings...)
That's a lie in a way, they wore blue jeans that I swear had curves that didn't come from the factory
It's amazing what female bodies can do to ordinary clothes.
*Whistlezzz................
Southern girls fascinate me.
If a forty or fifty year old southern redhead showed up at the lake, I just wouldn't know how to act...
Good morning everybody.
Busy weekend. A tad sore.
The first hog wqs 96" nose to tail and over 10' long stretched out.
Made 800 lbs. of sausage plus ribs, roasts, midlands(stripey meat, bacon, side meat or whatever you want to call it) and pork chops.
I hope everybody had a good weekend. And congrats to Scott. Wow!
You have inspired me some. I am going to fix up my old bike and give a try at getting healthier using the bike. Thanks.
