Good morning, Scott, Steve, Pat, Joe, and all of the others who drop by. Where's the coffee? Picked up 4-5 inches last night with 18 on the way, 20° and windy. When it's all said and done, up to 22 inches with blowing snow and temps around 0°. Anything we can't handle will be sent to Indiana. Joe, have your wife stay in.
But she's already gotten the pre-game stuff cleared away for the main event which is coming...and as you say...it will be at your place before us!
But...the more I see about this storm...it really looks like they are preparing people for the worst and depending on the track determines who gets what and how much...so hopefully it will track more north for Fort Wayne as we were on the lower "edge" of the heaviest band...so hopefully it goes just a tad more north...
The winds are blowing like crazy she did say though...
47 degrees an rainy here...supposed to come down in buckets tonight with high winds (up to 40 mph sustained). So happy to below the freeze line. Everyone get prepared....but still have a great day. Happy February!

Good morning my TN brothas!
Wow.........yesterday was a tough day to handle.
Laying a fellow co-worker, friend and shipmate to rest was a tough deal. But to make it even worse, during the drive to the Veterans Cemetary, one of our motorcycle escorts was struck and killed on the way. So that paused the persission while they had to deal with that.....Wow is all I can say.
On a good note we had a great prayer session at church last night....and it was needed.
Have a great day TN and all those who come.
INFO on motorcycle rider: Collierville police were working a deadly accident near Poplar and Byhalia. A motorcycle escort leading a funeral procession was hit by a car. We are told the victim was 67-year old Bob Ward, who owned Hornes Escort and Security Service in Brighton.
Scott...WOW...I'm sorry brother...what a day for sure...very sad about the motorcycle rider...a few of my buddies still ride in the "Patriot Guard" here in North East Indiana when fallen heros return...sad to see someone killed while helping out like that...
Here's to a brighter day for you today...and remember your friend and the motorcycle rider are the lucky ones because they truly are in a BETTER PLACE...those of us still here in our earthly bodies are obviously saddened by the void our loved ones leave when they pass on...but they are in HIS Kingdom and at total peace...I am sure THEY are praying for US to be strong here awaiting our entry into that beautiful place and to reunite with them...stay strong my friend.
Those who serve so that others may live in peace
Often pay a price that others never will
But having done so will be waiting for us
In the Kingdom of Peace, when the rest of us arrive
AMEN
Present day - this evening. I did a limited re-stocking run (I'm trying to hold back cash for a fishing lisence and annual lake permit at the end of the month) and I noticed some white flakes coming down in the Wallyworld parking lot (Millington). I had no idea there were clouds overhead, but when I looked up there were no stars like there were when I left the house...
Flip a coin. It has already snowed more times in the Memphis area than I can remember at this time of year ever before... But of course - I'm a new Memphanite, only having been here six years or so.
