Good Morning Tennessee and all those that visit!

No coffee for me...I'm done with the workout, showered and waiting on my first call in about 40 minutes...then my normal oatmeal and tea for breakfast before heading to the office...

Have a wonderful day today!

Joe.

I got some good news this morning! I went on the warpath with electricity use/wastage at my place, and as of the normal reading date which was yesterday - I used an average of 400 KWH less than any time in the last four years. This is directly translatable into cash money! The result is gonna be a bill for february that's 25% lower than it would have been - and I'm still fine tuning

IT'S A GAME NOW...

My goals for this year are to insulate the daylights out of my attic and eliminate heat and cooling losses, as well as to install a forced air vent in the gable ends so that the soaring power bills I've been dreading will be reversed.

I've got several plans to ****** that light bill money before it leaves the house, so I can use it for other things!!!

Does anyone else clearly think Dutch is OFF his Rocker?? HAHAHA

Heck I could do all that and the city would still just "estimate" my bill and it would never go down.

There is where we differ - I have no idea what you mean when you say "ESTIMATE YOUR BILL"

Mine is in my own fuzzy paws, and I reserve the right to attack it, maul it, roll it over on the ground, and nip it's head off if necessary...

It is the single greatest expenditure on my file of monthly expenses and as in all thingezzz I intend to address it directly - the same as in WAR!

THAT STUFF WILL cost me less over time!!!

I intend to ensure that.

*UNlike my mortgage, this one expense is up to me to bring it down, or to let it rampage because I was unaware.... I CHOOSE TO TAKE CHARGE!

The original settlers of the west reserved the right to go hunting when supplies were low, chop trees and make clap board if they had to do it with their own hands, and fish to put food on the table.

In Tennessee we can still do many of these things.

Fishing is the least limited of the hunting/providing arts

But energy itself is now a prime concern, and the price for it.

Just as when we once (our ancestors) circled the wagons at night - we now have to face a new threat to our security: Electrical Power
How will we deal with it?

I submit for your inspection that maintaining a home through heating and air conditioning is the principle wastage of power in all homes throughout the state.
Therefore if we can make that more efficient and less wastefull great savings will be found at home!

It is common sence - not a bigger HVAC plant in a home that will make the difference.

It is up to me and what I use as to how high or low my bill is each month. Therefore it is up to me how much of my income I choose to squander
If my house is inefficient, who is it up to to change it?

I'M THERE! I guarantee ya...

Losing heat up into your attic is a given, but stopping it is up to you.

We can't change the legislation much by bitchen about it, be we can for once change our homes.

Electricity will (WILL!) become more expensive. The only sane and logical choice is how that power will be spent.

I submit to you that how and what happens at the consumer level is in our very own hands.

~ and that is what we can modify!

I TAKE IT NONE OF YOU HAVE READ WHAT I WROTE ABOUT TVA RATE INCREASES (which are inevitable)

GO THERE AND EDUCATE YOURSELVES

Power is like to become very expensive....
