Ever notice how the more big bugs you get worked out of the truck... the more small things you find needing attention?
On the bright side - it's nice to have a hobby that feels 'responsible' or 'productive' since most of this can be chalked up to preventative maintenance.
Amusing thought for the day: I'm getting wheels for my birthday, and was talking to my wife about it while we were taking the puppy for a walk. When asked if she had any preferences... she only asked "Is it going to make the truck look angry... like it's going to rip your arm off and beat you with it if someone pulls out in front of me?"
It drives just as smooth as my 06 Ranger. Even with the lift and tires it retained it's drivability. Ever since we got it we never stay home on the weekends. Up to the mountains. It has been lots of fun for my family. Looking to get an adventure trailer soon as well.
She's really warming up to the idea of a truck (or SUV that she wouldn't laugh at for being 'dainty') for her next vehicle. *grin*
I'm actually excited to hear that Serg's jeep is that pleasant to drive. The wife likes those too, and I'd love to see a red one parked next to the red 250 in the driveway.
Supposedly they're asking a little less for the newer version of the Rubicon with the updated engine.
Hey Serge, is it worth the extra $ for the Rubicon to already have skid plates and lockers... or would the same money be better spent on a more affordable model and after market parts?
Serg when you want to test your Jeeps capabilities let me know an I'll take you on some trails that will see how much your Jeep flexs.

The Rubicon JK (4 door) comes pretty well equip. All depends on what you intend to do with it.
Well, it looks like I buggered up my left foot pretty good. Dropped a hardened 94# sack of mortar on it. Pretty sure my big toe is busted at least, because it kinda clicked when I moved it. The nail is split about halfway down, and the damned thing is swelling up something fierce along with the ball of the foot. Gonna head down to Kaiser here after a while and see what they can do for me.
It's broken in three places...more like smashed, really. The foot's ok, and there's nothing that can be done for the toe other than to wait it out. Gotta go back next Wednesday.
Like most visits to Kaiser on a walk-in, the majority of time was taken up in waiting.

Thank you for the offer. I will keep that in mind.
