He has been walking around and back to his usual self for the most part. Last i knew he cant kneel down because he cant stand back up if he kneels.

He has to get another surgery soon for his shoulder, they (doctors) had been putting it off from day one claiming it would heal on its own...but from my experience with shoulder problems..they NEVER heal on their own.

Pete, I see that to remove the injectors you will need a long T40 socket.
That "storm" was pretty pathetic if that was it.

Dang I guess I did it wrong, Andy. I couldn't find a long Torx socket so I bought a set of Torx t-handles. I will need a LONG T40 for reinstalling and torquing them so if anyone has one or sees one for sale somewhere let me know.

Good morning Connecticut!

Flurries and a dusting this morning, down here.
Be cautious of idiots on your morning commute. We ALL know what happens to most drivers in the years first snow...

Good morning Jim, Ray, and Andy. Everyone drive safe. The roads were mostly good, but there are still people out there that think ABS makes them invincible.

I'm back and I don't know what lies ahead?

Everyone

I spent a month in Afghanistan and was rotated home just before Thanksgiving.

I hoped to be heading back to Afghanistan later this week, but I have learned that many managers have been released and that I have to hear back from the VP. I wonder if they have forgotten about me? I knew I was hired as a stop-gap employee and wonder if they no longer have need for me.

All is well with my family, the positive note for the holidays

I came home to find that my van was dead, ends up there is about a half amp draw on the batteries, they were down to about nine volts so I trashed them. I have to find what is pulling so much current, I doubt its computer & radio memory sustainer current. Since my batteries were five years old before I left for Afghanistan I had already bought 950 CCA AGMs to replace the 750 CCA OEMs. So my van is at the fab shop getting custom trays to hold both the pair of starting batteries plus a pair of AGM deep-cycle batteries. I had wanted to do the mod as a planned evolution but circumstances forced my hand. I have a CH 250 amp dual battery isolator on order, but that won't come in for another two weeks. For now I'm just having only the starting batteries spliced in, I'll deal with a proper wiring harness and 210 amp alternator when I have some job security.

While I was over in Afghanistan, I learned that my PC died. Now that my daughter is home from college I'm borrowing her laptop computer, until now my wife has been keeping an eye on my emails while she's at work. I believe my hard drive crashed, I was planning to upgrade to solid state drives but with my job situation I figure on doing nothing.

Well, happy holidays everyone
For now I don't plan on being in the forum very much.

Best wishes to all,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Nice to hear things are going well!

What are you going to do with the old battery box? I've been thinking of moving my battery out of the engine compartment to make room for the planned turbo.
