Thanks guys, took a walk to see if it'd at least start this morning. Yup, too bad it s still running funny. At least I moved it closer to home. I parked it at my buddies warehouse about a block from my house. At least it ran...
orng1, didn't see your post. Glad ya got it home. Hopefully ti won't be too crazy/expensive to repair.
Steve, I've been given a bit of a blessing. I've not got till Monday. As of Monday if I don't have it fixed (save for the tire) it's gotta go. so, looks like I've got two days of busting my rear to get it working.
if nothing else most RV storage places take cars and trucks as well ... whats the big rush anyhows ?? as a landlord i know a bit about how this works .. you said duplex so i'm assuming your renting ?? i have to give a tennant 30 days notice to remove a vehicle..and that only applys to a dead car/truck ... if it's currently registered and moves under it's own power i can't do a thing about it ..long as it's parked where it should be ,,, drive/paved parking area ,,,now if it's a front lawn display thats a diff story ..same basic rules apply if it's the city bitching to either you or the landlord if they use the " city is on our case about your dead truck"..some exceptions to that are ..dangerous conditions, is the truck on jackstands ? piles of bricks or cinder blocks?
parked on the lawn or even dirt..read your rental contract .. was there an amendment page? i have one that covers stuff like house contents in yard or lawn ,,,that lazy boy in the front yard just won't cut it.. you get the idea ..as a renter you do have rights under the law..and if we wind up in small claims court i better have followed the law to a T or i the landlord will lose..call your landlord..explain the trans is all but installed..most of us will work with a tennant..as having you move and getting the house ready for a new tennant is money out of our pocket ,, always cheaper to keep you
I don't know. My mom's on the title, I just help with rent and bills. I'm not sure of the exact details of the contract (if one was signed or not. AFAIK, we are month-to-month, will double check). on the first is when we were told the truck could not be here. Our front yard is the driveway. there is no separate yard/drive for us. I also have to share that space with out neighbors, who go through the side yard to get to there duplex. I will talk to my mom. Shes up my rear about it, cause she thinks we will be kicked out, which is why I'm rushing it. (if it is as you say, and we do have a full 30 days, I'd take it a bit more easy as I've got what? 2.5 weeks, give or take.) So, I'm just trying to do what right by her, but at the same time, it's frustrating. There was no mention to me that the city is messaging the landlady, or her husband. It's only on jack stands when I work on it. otherwise it's on the ground. That's just fool hardy and asking for trouble to leave it up. (especially with a little girl that lives next door who can't leave things alone that aren't hers).
Update: got off the phone. Apparently, she was told needed to be removed from the property "immediately". I can keep it, but it's got to be moved off property if it's not working, nor am I supposed to work on it on the property?? As I said before if I can show her t moves under it's own power (starting and moving a foot as it needs a tire swapped (I'm broke...sigh)) she said I can keep it,as long as the tire would be taken care of. This was all said to my mom, as I was asleep from having worked graveyard the night before.

Of course, it also doesn't help that the T.C. is still refusing to go on, no matter how much I lift the center and spin. Frakking piece will not go in. Also doesn't help that my helper took off and hasn't been seen for 4 days now.
put a can of tire-snot in that flat .. roll it 30 ft then inflate .. if the trucks atleast up on all 4 feet it won't look half so bad ..can you roll it out by hand and swap it end for end ... look it's been moved!!!...grab that old tarp you have and cover the truck .. paint the tarp so it looks like landscaping .. shrubs ,, a few roses ,,,from 30 ft away it'll look like a movie backdrop .. dismantel truck and hide it around the yard ,,,fender behind that bush ,,, hood behind that tree,, rest stuffed in the hall closet...did that with a basket case motorcycle a few yrs ago ...as i was under penelty of death if another stray vehicle followed me home,,,
grab that old tarp you have and cover the truck .. paint the tarp so it looks like landscaping .. shrubs ,, a few roses ,,,from 30 ft away it'll look like a movie backdrop
