Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I had to read this whole thread.
On Halloween me and the old man went to a car show at the Evergreen Cemetery in Riverside.
Also, I got pictures of The Singer Foot Treadle Sewing Machine, and dad got another antique Singer Sewing Machine, this one is a little newer, and isn't a foot treadle, it's a portable one that you can carry with you. Mid-20s, Maybe....?
On a note that make's me so happy!
old man and his friend who has a '69 F-350 Cab & Chassis with a service body on it and a 390 2-barrel (and a 4-speed of course) went and got the '76 running. (We are debating wether to tow it with a tow strap, which is illegal, or drive it, which is also illegal)
The timing on his truck is all messed up, so my dad was working on his truck, when he was adjusting the rear brakes on the '76.
On another note, they are almost finished working on all this stuff over here.
I can't wait to see the results, they have the brown coat of stucco down right now.
And...
What you've all been waiting for...
The Pictures!

(that's the room it's in, I didn't mean to take that picture, my camera snapped off as I was putting it away.)

We are missing two things, the little cover piece that goes...well, you can see where that empty space is...near the needle, anyone know what that is called...?
I haven't gotten around to buying a replacment cord for the foot treadle yet...

The cove ceiling and the pass thru are good examples of deco. I don't see any deco furniture.
The style of the two candlesticks, iron work, and curtain rods are refered to as Spanish Colonial Revival.
The two armchairs are considered Victorian.
The upholstered chair is refered to by some people as "Beverly Hills Renaissance."
Bruce...you'd have a field day (or a coronary!) if you waltzed into my menagerie. It's a mish-mash of Art Deco, Spanish Colonial Revival, Mission, Arts & Crafts, French Second Empire, Beaux Arts and Louis XV.
I got a job for you, Anthony...from the looks of things, it's time to get out the Olde English and apply it to the wood furniture, especially the treadle sewing machine.
You prolly don't have any, so waltz on down to a local antique mall and get some Howard's products, the furniture restorer and the liquid wax.
And while at the mall, look around for a 'bobbin' for the Singer.
