Not here, either. All our schools were integrated, and when busing became an issue we didn't understand what all the fuss was about. But we didn't have enough black kids in the neighborhood for it to be an issue. I guess you would have to say the neighborhood was segregated. If that was intentional or forced, I can't say.

What you said was the case here, too.
Not too many other ethnicities in the SFV in the early '50's, at least where I was. Pacoima had Blacks, San Fernando had Latinos, very-few Asians at all, but if at school, we were treated all the same.
