Starter solenoid? (sigh) What in the world?

You wanna find the solenoid? The positive battery cables (edit: cable) connects to it.

Don't you mean cable? There is one positive, and one negative...

Yes, the added 's' was a typo.

There is one positive, and one negative...
Since all 1956 and later FoMoCo vehicles are 12V negative ground, the negative battery cable is grounded.

So, it has nothing to do with the starter solenoid.

V8: The usual location to ground the negative battery cable is by using one of the exhaust manifold to cylinder head mounting bolts.

Just a couple things left. Gotta install the fittings on the trans cooler lines at the rad side. Finish putting the pan/dipstick tube on,and then fire it up and see if it's fixed. Aside from that, just need to swap the tire.

There is an O-ring on the dipstick tube. If you use the old one (or don't use any), you'll have a leak.

O-rings should not be reused, because they harden up/age crack.

The same O-ring (87034-S94) is used for all 2 & 3 speed F-O-M's, FX, FMX & MX C-O-M's, C3, C4, C5, C6, AOD, so every FoMoCo dealer should have it, and autoparts stores.

I got a new one all ready to, but thank you for that tidbit. I decided to get a few bits I figured I might need to replace. There cheap, so what the heck, why not.

There are so many crosses, religious icons and santos in the living room, it looks like the gift shop at the San Gabriel Mission.

The only thing missing are the price tags.

Was it ever established where the photo of the room was?

Is it a room that the sewing machine WAS in before purchase?

Is it Anthony's living room, where the machine is NOW?

Is it someplace that his dad is putting stucco on the outside of?

Is it the place to which his dad and friend drove the '76?

Is it the gift shop of the San Gabriel mission?

I never got that for sure.

So many questions...

I'm not clear on why the Crucifix bothered you, Sparx. Lots of people like a lot of symbolism in their lives.

I won a certificate for a shiny new AFE intake at the dyno event yesterday. Didn't take more than about 3 minutes to find someone to give it to.
