The following are things Ive gotten accomplished over the last month. I replaced my valve covers and gaskets. I installed an HEI style distributor and set the timing and adjusted the carb. I installed a new set of headers and had a new exhaust made with a set of Thrush Turbo mufflers. Ive got a slight exhaust leak somewhere I have to find and fix. My next project is to fix the leaking cowl so it will quit leaking water onto the engine.
Heres a before and after pic under the hood.
Before

After

Im going to try and get a better pic of it now once the weather clears up.

Today I put in a toggle switch at my inertia switch and hit it under the cigarette lighter. Now if someone breaks into my truck to steal it they'll have to do some hunting around if they want it to start.

Went and checked out my donor truck from a guy I know from the CT chapter. He is scrapping the truck and offered me whatever I wanted to swap with him. Getting the bed, front driver's side fender, newer cloth bench seat, and maybe some other various things. Can't wait for a rust"less" truck, ha!

I know, I know.......will post pics as soon as I am able to get outside to be able to get some. It's been raining hard and steady all day long here. Understand though, I am no PRO Painter, but it really did turn out looking good imho. Again, it will last forever and is really durable stuff. It did take quite a many hours to dry, but I'm pleased at the outcome. Pics will be up by tomorrow at some point.

Found a short bed twin to my F100 a mile or so away from my house.

It's a year newer, dirtier, different wheels, a shortbed, and a lower trim level, but other than that I see no difference. It's even got a black vinyl section missing from the lower moldings.
