FLASHBACK: Ford Pulls Chevy Apart, Literally

Truck tug of war is often deemed as being a total Redneck sport, but you don’t have to be one to get a fuzzy, satisfying feeling from watching this video.  While most truck pulls simply end up with a triumphant winner and a scorned loser, this one results in the loser being reduced to a pile of humiliating parts.

And fittingly, the victor is a Ford and the loser is, well, used to be a Chevy.  Both feature big lifts and huge tires, and both hark from an earlier (tougher?) era of boxy trucks.  But despite their similarities, this tug of war contest is really no contest from the start.

At first, the Chevy actually gains a couple of inches, but the mighty Ford wheel hops until you see the Chevy’s bed start to bend.  The Ford then literally rips the Chevy off it’s rear axle, turning it over and rendering it into a parts donor.

Fittingly, the Ford driver hops out with a sense of urgency once he realizes what happened.  While we hope the Chevy driver was OK, there’s no way he didn’t at least suffer from a massively bruised ego.  At least he can take pride in being featured in one of the most embarrassing videos that a Chevy fan will ever see.
