71 4wd build
My name is Jim. I have a 71 f100 4wd that I’m starting on. I have had it since 1999 and the last time it was drove was in 2012. I have a cab fenders and doors stripped to bare metal and epoxy primed and are ready for final sanding and paint

Frame shortened for short box. Going to start stripping rust. I’m removing the four rear xmembers and cleaning up behind them and bolting them back up next

Got part of the frame epoxy primed and installed new leaf spring hangers on that side for 3” wide 4” lift springs

On the frame splice, I suggest adding another fish plate to the outside, since you did a straight cut.

In general, frame splice cuts should be angled or a zig-zag, and fish plated.

Got the rear of the frame all cleaned and primed The lift kit will be delivered Friday. Going to pull the rearend out and get it cleaned up and primed next
