73-77 Highboy front leaf pack count is 6 I do believe, and yes they have a positive arch. Like a aftermarket lift kit, look for broken middle leafs right where the u-bolts clamp.
77.5 -79 have 2 leafs and are almost flat or even have some negative arch. A $80 add-a leaf will go in there easy.

Yeah, I just checked that out about the 6 leafs for the Highboy front and that's correct. I've learned something about mine though. Someone added a leaf so mine has 7. Then I remember, my truck was once used as a plow truck so that makes sense. I kinda wondered why I need to get longer U bolts when I mounted my front axle.
THANKS! One of the most informative threads ever! Answered many of my questions. I was able to determine that I have an unmolested 74 crew cab highboy. How cool!
Hey Bill (ND)... Having just read that seat belts were required from 1966 and on, I find it remarkable, that when flying in domestic commerical airlines, part of the safety demonstration, is how to fasten a seat belt... well DUH... guess it is instruction for all of us who have not been in a car since 1965...

I just bought (for free) a '77 High Boy with a 300 six for parts from the original owners son. It has a high pinion Dana 44 front.
That axle is not original to the truck, the only front axles available on the highboy were a low pinion D44, a low pinion D44HD, or a low pinion D60, no high pinions on the F250 until the midyear '77 lowboy.

What is the correct term for a 75 Highboy with hub caps on the front with no visible hubs??? I know it's a 3/4 ton 4x4. Is it just full time four wheel drive with the 203 case. I have of the "Free wheeling package" but I thought this was referred to the trucks with hubs???

Yes that would be full time. I believe free wheeling package is paint & stripes and has nothing to do with 4x4.
This thread is amazing, what a wealth of information. I have my Dad's 67 and have just begun a restoration. I've never done a resto, so I'll have to learn on the fly. F250, 2WD, Custom Cab, 352. I'd love to add a live axle and divorced transfer case to this truck. Anyone have a direction to point me in terms of reading material or 2WD to 4WD conversions?
