    Sorry for the delay, hadn't noticed the message. The 53deere refers to this 40S,
    I no longer have it and except for taking to a couple shows every year didn't really have much use for it and i only have about 1.5 acres of land. When I was a kid we did a little farming, some 2 cylinder tractors, a 3020 and a 4020. The first tractor I drove was an early styled B. I actually worked as a mechanic at a JD dealership for a few years also, many years ago now. I restored the 40 just because I like old tractors. I also like old trucks. My dad still has his 1940 1.5 ton Ford in pieces in the shed, I think the first truck I ever drove. When I was five he bought a new 1966 F100 CC SWB pickup. That truck I drove in high school. I've owned at least a dozen Ford trucks and Broncos over the years starting with a '60 F100 4x4 when I was 18. So I guess Deere and Ford are kind of in my blood.

    Hey reneck, I was doing some research for the past two hours and was wondering if you could help me with a few questions that I still have. Its about the dana 44 and dana 60. Seen you posted, asking a member if his diff cover had 1/2" or 3/8" bolt heads. So the dana 44 has 1/2" head size?
