Hmm... would making it Friday make people any smarter? While I've come to expect it.... it still amazes me that a heavy mist (not even rain) is enough of a distraction that folks out here suddenly forget how to drive. Doing 25 of the freeway ... with no obstructions... frustrates me. (I don't get to hear the turbo spool... and it destroys any hope of good mileage.) I should replace the stereo before it rains again.
That aside.... how's everyone doing? I miss much the last few months?
Edit: Nice job at the strip Steve. How well do the 2wd trucks usually keep up?
We've solved a lot of the world's problems here in the last few months Rob
There weren't any 2wd trucks in the diesel class. The street tire class (which was open to diesel and gassers) had a few, but that class was won by a 4wd diesel as well.
The slicks only class was all 2wd.
With the right set up and a driver that knows how to launch, the 2wd trucks are pretty tough since they have a lot less weight to deal with, but in bracket (handicap) racing there's really no advantage.
Thought I had an album with a few pics of the truck, pile of parts from 'turbo day' and a few others (maybe 10 or so?) saved to my profile. No worries - have a bunch of pictures to get caught up on at some point anyway. Hoping to get to that next week some time.
Today I want to get the new steering input shaft on so I can finish troubleshooting my steering. Still has some 'mush'. (The only other part that hasn't been replaced in the last 6 mo being the short end of the tie rod.)
