I would have hooked it to relays and use the low amp 12v at the switch to actuate the high amp up/down motor circuit.

I was originally tieing all the grounds together and using the illumination wire as the power wir eon the 08 switch and then tieing in power to the lock or unlock wires...didn't go so well lol, so what i ended up doing was rebuilding the 08 switch with the 04 parts, it works i think but the problem now is i shorted something earlier and have no power anymore but the fuse isnt blown, my mirror motors don't work now either. Locks are fuse F2.102 and mirrors are F2.13 i checked fuse 102 but it seemed fine its one of those ones with the ring inside and its like a cube shape...any ideas. Basically i got my switches to work but now i need my power back -__-

I would love the new panels. But it sure seems to have been a major pain for ya.

haha, its not that bad I just screwed everything up on my part, the trucks that didn't come with the remote key-less entry are a PITA i guess, and nobody has ever done it before that I can find, everyone had the keyless entry stock.

so new progress...Fuse 102 was blown, could barely see it but it was blown so i just replaced it and now i have power back to the connectors (using stock switches no 08 switches right now). I have no lock/unlock function on the drivers side and i only have the lock function on the passenger side switch...odd but i had this issue when trying to switch to the 08 switches and it was blowing the drivers side switch.

Bump

Any ideas on what i should check out? I am going to solder the connector back instead of crimping it so that i know it has good connections after work today. Any other leads i have to go on though after this would be a great help. Basically right now i can use the passenger side switch to lock the doors, I'm not sure if it locks both or just one yet though the other door has always been locked. Not other lock switch functions though. Once i get this figured out i will post up the way i did my alternative to getting the lock switches themselves to work without rewiring the harness on any 99-07 truck.

Lock switches

The simplest way in my opinion to do the lock switches is to gut them in essence

Remove the switch and take it apart
the old circut board will fit in the newer housing with nothing more than using a razor blade to trim a couple of alignment
Slides shorter.
Next use the old bottom plate and hold them together to measure and trim what needs trimmed.

I did this on my door panel swap and they function perfectly

I really need to get this together, its dark now but if i ant get it together tomorrow morning i wont be able to work on it again until next Sunday which is a major PITA for me right now.

It seemed pretty straight forward but apparently I'm doing something wrong because I'm frying switches, the passenger side is what really confuses the f*** out of me, i had the +12v hooked up with the lock wires on both sides (PK/LG and RD/BK) and the illumination was hooked up to Pin 2 on the 08 connector (Fuse-41) then i had all the grounds tied together and the unlocks hooked up the the unlock pins on the 08 connectors.
would anyone be able to help i seem to have the same color wires in my 03 as this guy and am having the same problem with trying to figure out how to wire them!
also does anyone have a pin out on what the plugs need to be on the driver side window switches?

I know this is a super old thread, please help

passenger front fits, but again you need to remove the door handle cup thingy. upon installation i found that the new panels are slighty bigger than the old ones where the oor handle is, so i put about 1/2" worth of washers in for spacing. window switchs use the same plug so no problems there. but the door lock switch is way different. went to ford to try and get the correct harness side plug but the said its incorperated into the harness and cant get it by itself....and ideas or suggestion on how to make it work? as far as clearence issues ive seen people concerned about, the new panels hit the dash but very little. nothing really to be concerned with in my opinion.
and for the driver door i am still waiting on parts from ford as follows:
08 window switch harness side plugs (x2)
08 power mirror switch assembly and plug
08 wing panels with tweeter mounts (x2)

does anybody know where i might find the wiring diagrams online for the driver door window switches, locks and mirrors? i plan on re-using the stock wiring on the truck just re-pinning the 08 plugs.

thanks ill post pictures when its all finished should be later this week. any help would be great.
Does anyone or you sir, have an color coded change out for master window switch 05 f350 to 08 for drivers side master window switch. Im having a pita finding one i can read or make out, sorry for the repetitive question, im looking to my brothers on the fourm for help as always, thanks a million
