Yes you have to floor it when the tester tells you, and
hold it for about 2 seconds till he signals you to let up.
I had to do that 4 times, (not a good feeling, for me anyway)
Thats all we did, no gas cap test or anything ya test with a gas rig.
I'm in Snohomish county about 35 miles north of Seattle

Can't you just say that my truck runs good and will pass the test but it has 300K on it and I think something will break if I hold the pedal to the metal for 2 seconds? I'll answer my own question, heck no, blow it up and we get another old vehicle off the road. You pay, we don't pay. Pass or go home! Tell them where to go and move to a civilized state!
