emmissions
I am haveing a problem passing my emmissions test. I have a 1990 full size Bronco with 302 in it, the worst part is I just put a rebuilt in it & it only has 1100 miles on it but my CO reading is 5 times higher than it should be. I did a cat conversion the other day. But I haven't taken it in for a test yet because it still seems to want to idle up & down but not all the time. I've replaced the O2 sencer the cat the muffler oh, by the way it had a cracked exhaust manifold & I replaced that also. I have taken it in to one mechanic but there computer would not talk to mine. 
The truck is running great but want pass the emmissions so if any one has any ideas they would be highly apprciated. Thanks Ford Custom, Steve

Well mine took seven times too get through, the first time with the new motor,no emmissions stuff,no cats.Find someone with a gas analizer,detune the motor too pass and then put it back too where it runs the best for you.Bring in your test sheet as a base for them too go off of and for the limits for your truck.Mine passes fine now with all the settings know for passing.

Thanks DW I have it into a ford dealer now the truck seems to run great, but the idle keeps going up & down so hope they can figure this one out. I will let you all know what the prblem was. Thanks P.S. The mechanic that put the motor had the timing set at zero but another mechanic advanced it ten degrees.
