<!--startindex-->MIDDLEBURY, Conn. -- If you're in the market for a 1954 Dodge truck or a scale model of the same, you might find them at a large tag sale scheduled to start this Friday at the Golden Age of Trucking Museum in Middlebury.
To say the mood is somber at the museum is an understatement, with some trucks already sold and others on loan, returning to their owners. While several items are still for sale, Fran Guerrera, of the Golden Age of Trucking Museum, said some items she just can't part with.
"This one definitely wont go," she said. "It's a family favorite and it's definitely staying."
The hope is that other area museums may be interested in some of the trucks, or they will go into storage.
After eight years of operating at a loss, the museum closed its doors last month, and now all sorts of truck items will be on sale at the tag sale scheduled for Friday.
"It's dreadful. That's all I can say," Guerrera said. "It's like walking into a funeral parlor every day."
Items up for sale include things such as old license plates and model trucks and cars. There are also belt buckles, memorabilia and office furniture.
The museum opened in 2002 with high hopes and grand ambitions, the dream of Richard Guerrera who ran Guerrera Trucking in Middlebury for 35 years.
He loved collecting and restoring trucks, always with an eye toward having a museum for the industry he loved, Guerrera said.
"My husband had such high hopes for this," Fran Guerrera said. "I think we did the best we could, and I think he'd be happy with what we did."

Not sure how much it's gonna cost me but I want to know and it's cheaper for me to pay Debaise whatever they want than take my time (time = money) and fuel (fuel = money) and drive further to find a dyno. I don't want to miss much work right now so it's my best possible solution.
