one good thing about today - My (and aaron's) father came home today and will now be seeing individual doctors instead of the hospital (which the treament was pretty bad)
Now the bad - The building next to mine burnt today and 2 people had to be sent to the hospital from carbon monoxide poisoning,
and a member of the motocross series i race has been put on life support from her crash on saturday. there are numerous rumors going around that she passed away today, but i dont want to believe it just yet..
Hey, glad your guys' dad got to go home. That's gotta feel good. Sorry about your friend though.
As for me, it's my birthday. Just another day to me, but everyone around me likes to think it's pretty awesome! Gf is making some new recipe, buffalo chicken mac'n'cheese. could be pretty good.
Ford really does make it a pain to swap out speedometer clusters. (I got a tach cluster for my 91) Anyone know how to get the **** on the headlight switch from either the 1980-1991. The believe the switch is the same. Other than that i already had tons of torx bits ford computers, cell phones, work i've done.
Oh and i found out my 91' has greasable ball joints! w00t. Anyway i need a grease gun. But what do people recommend for grease?

I've done these a number of times although not on your exact application. There is usually a button on the top of the switch behind the dash that will release the shaft (might have to wiggle the shaft while pressing the button). It probably involves some entertaining contortion-ism to get to though
On my '87 there is a little slot on the back of the **** near the shaft.
Take a hooked tool (small allen wrench?) and pull outward.
The **** has a metal tab that must be compressed to release it.
Josiah,
Congratulations! I hope you have a GREAT BIRTHDAY!
It sure is a beautiful one.
tanner- you can do it my way but there is a possibility of breaking stuff. grab and pull. it will slide off. i havent broken one yet, but a guy at work showed me the truck and said he hadnt broken many.
josiah enjoy your macaroni and cheese. im not a fan of buffalo flavoring so i wont ask you to share.
