What did you do to the X today?

I took her and borrowed a ladder to get my roof done. Got to the second piece of metal when the wind decided to come and it ripped the metal from my hands and sliced my finger open. There is a decent small pool of blood up there. My daughter kept saying, "It must not be that bad because you aren't crying." So I opened my hand and showed her how deep it was, she's like, "You should be crying, did it cut the nerve?" Crack me up. Where do they learn these things?

I talked to the insurance today about my Ex and found out they won't cover any of the repairs of the rusty windshield frame. They didn't handle the prior windshield replacement that was done wrong that caused the whole rust issue to begin with so they won't cover it. However, they said if there is any interior damage they will cover that, go figure.
I called the body shop and we discussed options to drop the repair cost. Things like sectioning in a replacement windshield frame and 1 foot of roof instead of their original estimate that was to replace the ENTIRE roof. I will talk to them tomorrow and go take the roof rack off myself and strip as much of the interior that they need to get to. I figure anything I can do to save some money at this point will be great. Especially considering I built the roof rack and they have no idea how to take it off, lol.
I hope to have better news once I talk to the body guys in person tomorrow.

-Stopped by Wally-World and topped her off yesterday with some of the 5% Bio it loves so much.
-Replaced the ICP sensor I got from Clay and man oh man does she idle and drive nice now! Looking at the oil sensor, I could see the oil coming up through the sensor, it was a miracle that it was even working
-Ordered a new stock Motorcraft Thermostat from Clay

Interesting, did the eBay ad say how many miles were on the seats? My dad's F-450 seats are much firmer than my '02, but comparable to the '05. I guess the '02 just has more miles/use to soften up the foam.
The arm rest issue is a big deal for me personally. For where I put the seat (higher up), the console is much too low and away from me. Since I don't get to drive it much, when I do, I usually take a jacket or blanket and bunch it up between me and the console to simulate an arm rest. On the other hand, for whatever reason my dad likes the seat as far back and as low as he can, so he's content with where the console is at then.

Hmm, I have a custom floor console, that sits on the transmission tunnel between the regular console between the seats & the dash, so necessitating a swap to the later model console may make this a no go for me, unless the shape of the bottom of the later model console is the same or very similar to that of the original.
However, as others may be interested:
- did the $600 include the console, or did you have to source that separately?
- how close a match is the later model tan leather to the rest of the earlier model tan leather interior?
- so I guess the later model console (and its interior) is wider, and one is intended to use the console as an armrest?

The tan is in the same family but is different once the kids are out of car seats i will order new leather for the rear to match the front.
The center console is much wider taller and a little longer. it is not at all shaped the same at any point, front back top or bottom.
