Picked up a load of logs for the sawmill this spring. I'm glad the two speed axle is 'low' and 'lower'. I was a bit nervous about my script stakebed, but no damage whatsoever.

Hey GB
That's impressive! What is your guess on the weight of
those massive logs? Looks like you lost one of your
2x4 side supports ... I doubt they'd stop one of those logs from escaping..

Looking good over there in Washington state!

I snapped two of the 2x4s clean off when loading. They were just to hold the logs until they were chained. As far as weight, at least a couple tons I would guess. It's a two ton truck with an 8BA and new brakes. I bought it a couple years back as a cab/chassis with a stuck 59AB.

Getting harder to find good ties around town, and when you do, they are not allowing you to take them anymore. Had to drive about 20 miles out for these. Found two different "date nails" and both were from '28, so I'm gonna guess these are from the same batch, some were good, others not.

Yesterday morning I took the family to Six Flags.
Driving through Rosebud, or was it Gerald Missouri. I saw a beautiful 48-50 F100. I rolled down the window to give a thumbs up and it sounded like he was still running the flathead. I didn't react fast enough to dig out my phone to take a picture. Sorry guys.

I posted this pic a while back and it was suggested that I add it to this thread.
Willard doing his job. I built him to tow my car trailer. This was his first tow job, a short run of 120 miles round trip.
