Steering is a little sloppy so might replace all the ball joints this winter but I5 thru oregon is mostly curves so not much time dealing with the free play going straight. Also need to add a panhard on the rear to keep the rear tires from rubbing the bed. The worn out SBC 350 made it from Newberg to Medford in 4 hrs. running 70+ at a little under 2000 rpms and pulled most of Sexton (south bound) in 4th. My wife was with me coming home and the tarps were flapping so so I backed it off to 65 most of the way. BTW, all the speeds above per my gps. 70 actual = 90+ on the speedo - need to work on that.
That is what I really like to see 0 Getting this old Iron out and in use - Then you top it off with a 500 mile trip

At least 3 or 4 people a day say "nice truck" or give me a thumbs up. 3 guys standing along the frontage road with 2 Harleys and a pick up turned on their heals as I blew by. It's a hoot. It's kinda hot too so it has me thinking about AC.
Hey Dan,
I'm not sure I've seen your truck up & running & painted. It looks very nice - I like the trailer too!! Did you make that too?
We moved my mother-in-law's stuff up to Waco - 100 miles one way. Not sure I'm brave enough to do 500 miles yet. You are the man!

thanks. It's a dyi paint job and definitely a 20 yarder. I borrowed the trailer from a friend. LOL, as usual there was a lot more stuff when I got there than my wife explained on the phone.
Here's a shot of my truck. I worked it this weekend. Me and some buddies drove across the state to a truck show. It was about 450 miles round trip. I hauled my little trailer with my buddies old Railway Express Agency luggage cart on it.
