I'm heading on a 200 mile one way trip to Branson for the Ozark Mountain run. So I took her out for a 50-60 mile test drive and picked up some things from my daughter's place.
I'm looking forward to a nice long drive and the all Ford truck event.

That's quite the "clinking clanking collection of caliginous junk" you have there.

Are those long rusted bed strips?

Good luck on your travels.

Yep, they are the bed strips from the flatbed I bought before I got the opportunity to have my son build one.
That old flatbed is still at my daughter's house. They don't know about it because it is hidden. I need to sell it sometime. I'm not sure the bed strips are usable, but I didn't want them tossed just in case.

They look in bad shape. Especially when a guy can buy new ones in almost any length.

Is that bed a Ford script bed? And how long?

That's true. Well I will ditch them at some point.
It is not a Ford script bed and it is 99" long. Here are pictures from the thread I created when I bought it.

LOL, yeah I wondered how to say that. Maybe a 400+ mile weekend....But I'm always worried about running a 68 year old engine that I did the work on.
