The search for info was on and it has been tough tracking down parts since the one I baught had long ago been sripped accept for the fender scripts and gas tank cover mounting sheet metal pieces. It has been fun searching.
The 1965 F100/250 chrome fender emblems are different from 1966.

1965 has FORD F100 (or F250) above / 1966 has FORD above, 100 (or 250) below encompassed within.

The 1966 emblems have been reproduced. The repro parts sellers also reproduce the red plastic inserts (Twin-I-Beam/Ranger/FOUR WHEEL DRIVE), but...

The red plastic inserts were only sold by FoMoCo with the emblems originally, they were not available by themselves and have metal tabs retaining them.

You have to bend the tabs to R&R the inserts, and if you are not careful, the tabs snap off...because they were never intended to be bent in the first place.

Someone (I don't recall who) is reproducing the seat risers. The seats and tracks are EZ to find since they are the same as 1965/66 Mustang.*

The upholstery is the same as Mustang, but is specific to either 1965 or 1966, both = non GT. GT's had a running horse embossed in the back rest, not used with non Mustang GT's or Rangers.

* The Mustang bucket seats are actually the same 1965/68, the tracks are the same 1965/70. But the upholstery, its design and the padding used on 1967/68's is different than 1965/66.

The center console is the same as 1964/65 Falcon Sprint. Some parts of this console have been reproduced and are available from dearbornclassics.com

Call 800-252-7427, order a catalog...it's free. Dearborn (located in Bend OR) sells repro car parts, but a few of these parts are the same as the trucks.

The Ranger inserts were black in the background. It is going to be tough trying to bring those back I have new ones I just would like to save the old ones.

The repo inserts are not exact anyway. They are made of a thinner plastic and are missing the step that goes into emblem. Also need some fitting as too large to fit properly.

Remove the emblems from the truck, use 600 wet/dry sandpaper to remove the old paint from the plastic inserts. Use a fine paint brush to paint the Ranger script.

After it has dried, coat the Ranger script with vaseline, then spray the rest of the emblem black.

When the paint dries, wipe off the vaseline.

Someone said that right hand spare tire mount on fender was rare and only on 1961. look at the picture of my 62. I have never seen a carrier like this one. and on the passenger side. I also have a limited slip in my dana 44 for that year. everything is suppose to be original.

There is no such thing as a Flareside right rear fender with a cut-out for the spare tire, regardless of what year the truck is.

If your truck has a right rear fender with a cut-out, it's been modified. The only pic of your truck is in your avatar, impossible even w/a magnifying glass to make out what the carrier is.

1959/67 F100's and some 1968 F100's: If Limited Slip was ordered, Ford installed Dana 44's as the 9" was not available in F100's w/Limited Slip until midyear 1968.

Ford also offered an optional Dana 60.2 (1963/65) or Dana 60.3 (1966/69) with Limited Slip in F100's.

Interior Decor Group (called Pony Interior in the Mustang realm) was available as a factory option for 1965 Mustangs built after about March of 1965 and through the 1966 model year. At the same time, Ford introduced the GT package available as an option for 4 barrel Mustangs (either HIPO or regular A code 4 barrel). A GT would have either Standard interior or Pony interior depending on how it was ordered. The ponies were only on the seats in the interior decor package. So you could buy a GT with no ponies or a 6 cylinder with ponies on the seats.
The foam in the pony interior seats is also different and not interchangeable. They are squared off more at the bottom of the seat rather than rounded off.
I know Bill knows this stuff, but I want to throw the Mustang knowledge out there just in case anyone cares.

As far as the upholstery, the 65 uses the same type of fabric throughout the upholstery. In 66, the inset panels of the seat back and seat bottom were a different type of upholstery called comfort weave. It was still vinyl, it was just made to breathe a bit in the summer.

the right rear fender has been modified alright but I am not sure by who. one hting for sure it isn't worth a **** cause it won't hold a normal size tire. It has to be a real narrow one.

Well I am not sure but on my Dif, it has 44 embossed on the lower right side of the housing and has the "Only use limited-slip oil" tag on one of the cover bolts.

The truck only has 51K miles on and it looks the rear end has been there all along. Next time I am under it, I will take a picture of it.

A couple of points...ALL backgrounds of the fender insers used on F series trucks of the 1961-66 era are red originally without fail.
The wheels on 1/2 ton trucks were 15" wheels.

1961/66 F100 2WD/4WD: 15" wheels were standard equipment, 16" and 17.5" wheels were optional.

And I'd bet there are NOT MANY of the '61/'66 F100 trucks still rolling on the originally-issued 17.5" wheels these days...!

OK, now here is another silly question, Did the 62's have a sway bar on them? and I guess the next question would be where can I find one?
