My 1997 F-250 has the Heavy duty badges..But it has all options inside of an xlt and it says xlt on the dash trim...BUT it doesnt have cab lights...Would that be factory? I thought all XLT's had marking lights...
one of the reasons it has the "heavy duty" badges it that in 97 ford offered a light duty and a heavy duty version f-250, the heavy duty basicly just denotes the body style and the xlt is the trim package, and as farm said I think the cab lights were an option, dad's xlt doesn't have cab lights either, but my xl does, go figure
it's true, it was not one of ford's brightest ideas,
You know, I never did either. I ended up buying a 98 F-250 Light duty Lariat. I must admit, I have come to like it a lot. Before that I had a 94 150, and just recently bought a 97 250 HD diesel. I enjoy driving the 98 a lot better. It is not my pulling truck, but I can pull, it will handle it, and, being the first lariat I have ever had, I like the options, 4 wheel disc abs, factory rear air ride suspension.....
Not to offend anyone...But i always think of the light dutys as either a girls truck or a foreman's truck. So the truck was stock with heavy duty badges yuck. I like the XLT badges. As far as cab lights go.....Gonna install today
Ahhh yes, the BlackWood, Redwood series lincolns.. LOL! For those with finer tastes in life, while still striving to fit in with the work and play crowd, LOL!
Brown Falcon.. A 7-Lug? Good grief.. That was a brilliant idea! I thought that trying to find dually rims were the biggest challenge, I cant imagine finding wheels for that thing!
