01' Expo XLT
I am new to Ford as well as to trucks. My 2001 Expedition XLT 5.4L has treated me very good since I got it a couple of months ago. I bought it with extremely low milage and is in great shape all around (here comes the 'but') but, it is just too stock for my liking.
I am toying with the thought of a cold air intake and filter not only for the gas milage but I also think it makes a beautiful sound.
The next big idea in my head is this crazy fetish I have with the Ford SVT Lightning's hole front end. I love front bumper, head lights and, hood. I think how hard could it possibly be to fit those on to my truck?
I kind of want to lower it an inch or two but, I am very sceptical about droping a truck!
Maybe someone has some experience with this sort of stuff or at least some advice on the matter, what ever it is I would really apreciate it.
I know this is a really loaded thread but, I promise I will take it a little easier on you guys next time!
You may want to check out the Roush products being offered on the home page, plus do a "search" for "cold air intake" or if you check out your post, you have some highlighted words...just click on them and follow where they lead...there are other posts around about lowering, adding 20's-25's, headlight change outs....this was my problem, I wanted newer style lighting, but I found mine was a early 97 and it had buckets behind the lights that wouldn't let me upgrade without some messaging. I found it here and it saved me some mula before I started.
