about how much does a set of gears cost for the d60? the one i am looking at buying i believe it has 4.10s cuz of the c5 axle code. do any of you guys have some 3.55s you'd wanna trade or sell me.
the reason for a slight offset in gears like that (3.54 front 3.55 rear) is because if they were exact, the truck would have a little skip to it while in 4wd.
gear swaps require special tools, and are not for most shade tree mechanics.-if you want them installed correctly that is.
generally, its much cheaper to swap whole rear axles.4wd trucks, you kinda have to pay to play.

i was guessing this was true, since i know nothing of gearing/axles/etc my dad was gonna help me with these, he used to do gearing/axle swaps every weekend on his old bronco and f250 back in the day... he also owns pretty much every tool known to man so that'll be very helpful! but this seems like pretty important info for the OP to know
