Cool. I'd considered letting the kids over at the automotive dept. play with the trans. I know they need different cars for the kids to practise on. Don't know how to go about that one though.
Yeah, it was pretty devastating, and I damn near went crazy. Actually, according to records, apperantly I did. I almost got charged with attempted murder of a police officer, but instead got knocked down to assault. Due to my mental state, it was ruled I was unable to control my body in anyway, and I just flipped. I got the assault cause I was freaking out (apperantly, I'm told this by my lawyer), and the two cops tried to subdue me. I don't rember any of it, but I can just imagine what it must have looked like.
Hey, anthony, odnt feel bad, didn't ahve my lic,. till I was 20. I was slow at it.
I can't understand that ejection, much less the suspension.
When Kershaw threw the pitch that got him ejected his team was ahead by only one run in the seventh inning. What pitcher in their right mind is going to intentionally bean the lead off batter, thereby putting tying run on base, in that situation?
The game was a disaster (at least from an L.A. perspective) after that.
Nothing like a Dodgers/Giants game though...I just wish baseball hadn't got so pussified over the years.
<hr style="color: rgb(209, 209, 225); background-color: rgb(209, 209, 225);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Hey guys, how's things? I'm out here in VA for training with the USCG and figured I'd stick my head in to say hi while I've got a little bit of a break tonight. I'm out here for A school so I'll be here a few months - but wasn't able to bring my Superduty. (Still a little sad about it... starting to miss the sound of the big turbo.)
That being the case, when I've had time to get a paycheck or two, I'm tempted to find some kind of beater 4x4 to play with while I'm out here. (hopefully something that's at least half reliable, has a working A/C and is cheap enough that if I can't get it sold again I won't feel too bad - although to be honest, if I end up liking it this might be an excuse to have a pet project without pissing my wife off.... ) Hell, if it's half decent - i might use it as an even better excuse to get rid of her car.
Any suggestions? I'm not from the area - so still figuring out where stuff is. Without a ride, I haven't left the base in over a week. Managed to find a bunch of decent looking ideas on Craigs List.
If nothing else, it'll be fun to get everyone's input - good bad or otherwise - about budget 4x4's. So far I've seen some ugly (but very cool) wranglers, 4runners, cherokee's and one of the big bronco's. Even saw one of the old school Isuzu Troopers (from back when they were still big and had a manual transmission) running for 750.
So far my favorites are the dirt cheap trooper, a Cherokee with a manual and the old straight six and a couple lifted 4runners for under 3k.
I prefer stuff with some kind of back seat, manual transmission (less problems at higher mileage) and enough room to throw a mtn bike in the back. Have a few ideas already - but waiting to see what my next paycheck looks like before I make any decisions. Even saw a suzuki Samurai that looked like fun - but I don't think it had a top... and still wouldn't have room for a mtn bike without a rack.
I'd love to hear you guy's thoughts on the matter.
Also, I've missed you guys and having time to stick my head in and bull**** more often.
