Well, at the moment, all of my moola is tied up with the 67. As soon as I get the frame coated, reassembled, and painted, I'll look into one of those filters.
Let's analyze this,,,$100 coolant filter or $8,000 engine rebuild,,,, yup I would wait also.
I'm installing the coolant filter, because I just had the coolers replaced, just as my warranty is expiring. I cannot say I am a big believer, or that I really even want the danged thing, but I figured there wasn't ever going to be a better time than now to do it.
I've had mine for three or four years, and it still catches precipitate.
Of course, if I didn't persist in using green coolant and adding my own SCA's, I probably wouldn't have that problem, but it's cheap insurance just the same.
I know it can't do any harm, and it is cheap enough insurance.
I had to add transfer case and differentials to that list, as there's no real practical way to filter them without adding pumps, too. Ainna' gonna' do that...
