Yeah, it's tough out there right now. I've been lucky so far, but the Peterbilt dealership across the street from where I work has laid off 6 guys in the last 6 months, and last week, for probably 3 days straight, there was only one truck in the shop. One guy working, 2 others standing around humping the pooch, or washing floors, or sweeping the parking lot, anything to keep getting paid. And, that's after they already have 2 guys on holidays and sent 2 more home for the day.
It might be an idea to take your contacts and become a small business owner by way of mobile service. As long as you have a truck with a service body on it...
Didn't do anything to my truck cause i aint home with it but i did clean the headlight on his wives mustang and washed it. Never know how much you miss your truck till you aint with it and can't drive it.
