I had the same kind of issue with my code. The first letter is x and it wouldnt read what model it was being f350. It just said unknown. I put an F in place of the x and it fixed the code and came up with what the truck is. Why is that?

Many cab 'n' Chassis and other "special" trucks has the X code. Looks like all Super Cabs should be X code as well.
Especially the direct ordered U-Hauls, some Ryders and other mass production "special" trucks.
I think I speak for most of us when I say we appreciate you sharing the information on the "F130" truck.
It has been an oddity the last few years around here because there is NO information about it. None in the Ford archives, none in the Master Parts Catalogs, nothing.
What is most unusual is why Ford would call it an F130 in the warranty/ VIN papers. You would think it would be an F200 or something since it is a half-breed F150/F250 like the Argentina/ Brazil trucks.
hey guys i have a truck that is a f37 also (cassis and cab) but could it still have come with a bed from the dealer lot? its a 76 f350 supercab srw 8 foot box

It would have been dealer installed or installed at another vendor. It would be a bass-ackward way to do it though.
My only guess would be the bed was added at a later time.
