2 vins to decode
I'm hoping you guys will help decode the door tags for my 75 F-100 and my neighbors 78 F-350. Here goes.
vin-F11YRV40213, wb-133, color-MW, type/G.V.W-F113, body-634, trans-A, axle-08J, Max G.V.W lbs-05700, 1975, D.S.O-72.
vin-F37SRAG2288, wb-161, color-M, type/g.v.w-F378, body-GA8, trans-G, axle-36J, max gvwr lbs-10000, 1978, d.s.o-72.

Heh, I tried telling the guy that his truck was not factory 460, but he swore up and down it wasn't. I countered with where is the emissions sticker that would be on the hood? I answered my own question and said it was removed because it no longer matched what was installed in the truck. I heard him later on itching (with a B) about how he knew he was right etc etc. Now I get to go back with proof, and rub it in his face

I took one look at the VIN and asked where is the "Y" for the 460. I knew the "H" was a 351, but did not want to argue with the guy without me remembering the exact facts. I have heard rumors however that 460's were installed as dealer options?

Okay I have to ask.
so why don't you guys with 77's 78's & 79's just look them up yourself on my page that I have posted at least Million times ?
