Hey everyone I will see if I can get this explained or not and not sure if it is normal or not so please help me out. Thanks a million.
Alright so when we want say the A/C on and switch it over to Panel or where the air comes out the front vents it doesn't. It does but say when I am accelerating or going a steady speed it switches over to the defrost outlets but then once we are slowing down the it switches and comes out the fronts vents properly again, seems like it is speed sensitive. Is this a normal thing on a climate controlled vehicle doesn't seem like it.
It is on a 2003 Lincoln Navigator. Hope someone can shed some light thanks everyone take care.
Same thing was happening on my wife's 04 Eddie Bauer and it was due to a disconnected vacuum line at the top of the engine. I had knocked it loose while changing the alternator.
There is an HVAC vacuum line that runs under the battery tray. There are several threads on here about the battery corrosion leaking down and eating away at this vacuum hose and causing the symptoms you've described.
thanks a million guys will hopefully get a chance to look at it tomorrow evening wifes gone to work tomorrow with the navi but will post back with my findings hopefully and easy vac line fix
