My expenses are as follows:
Gas- 271.7 miles/22.46 gallons @ $3.25 per gallon = $73.00 and 12.1 mpg combined average or 26 cents per mile.
Maintenance- Fram CA8039 air filter: $22.99
Motorcraft 5w-20 oil x 5 qts (I had 2 qts on my shelf from last oil change) $19.95
Motorcraft FL820S oil filter- $3.99
Total= $46.93 + $3.87 tax = $50.80
I sure wished I lived where you guys do for the gas prices if nothing else!
I am back from vacation now. I have put a grand total of 3 miles on my truck since I posted the odometer pic(picking dog up from the kennel). I will get about 250 miles by the end of the week, so I will post some stuff then.
Bill-did you get a new v10? I notice your new pic is white(and you mentioned getting a new v10).
First report-
Starting mileage 206,084.8
Current mileage is 206,358.3.
Pic of current mileage.
Pic of receipt.
273 miles and used 14.112 gallons of fuel for 19.4 mpg's. Mileage was 80% highway at 75 mph. Total cost of fill up was $39.50 for fuel. I used 6 ounces of fuel additive. I don't have a receipt for it because I bought it before we started the thread, but it was about $12.00 for 80 ounces, or 15 cents per ounce. 6 ounces x 15 cents=90 cents. So total miles 273 and total cost of $40.40 for a cost of 15 cents per mile.
If you're wondering about the horrendous drop in mileage on the second tank, it's due to spending 1 hr and 45 mins in stop and go gridlock from just north of the Golden Gate bridge to Petaluma. I filled up in Santa Rosa and have been driving on that tank ever since so the mileage avg will pick up when I fill up in the next couple days.
Allright, I have been pretty busy lately with farm work lately, so here is an update.
Mileage at start of thread=153527
Current Mileage=154351
Total miles=824
Gallons of diesel=57.2
Mileage=14.4mpg
57.2 times $2.91/gallon=$166.45
20 cents per mile
No other expenses at this point. The fuel mileage is lower than usual for my truck, but it has been used to pull wagons & farm equipment pretty often lately since we are making 1st crop of hay.
