Hey Reed,
You are an inspiration to all of us - thanks for taking the time to document your restoration - you are doing a great job! I like your valve covers - my 19 year old had his heart set on Edelbrock covers so we went that direction. I like the engine shot on the tailgate with the beautiful mountains in the background.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Progress has been slow for a while but now is starting to pick up a little. I am getting close to having my serpentine belt/pulley setup done but am waiting on a pulley I ordered of ebay. I went to lowes and got a piece of flat aluminum and cut it to size and drilled some holes to make my 70 mustang radiator fit inside my original radiator frame. What do you guys think?

Finally got the other pulley today. First pic is after I checked to make sure the pulley system would even work. 2nd pic is after I cleaned and painted them.

Hey Reed, that front bracket looks great! what did you clean it up with? And is that just aluminum paint? I mean as far as color? I got the same to deal with.
I wanted to get the intake and all aluminum clean like new. thought I would attempt to run some type of media thru my little siphon feed blaster.
I like that though!
edit: I also like the entire thing btw!

Looking good and clean dude!! I really like the color. Let me know if I can help. Don't forget your extensions on that steering rack.

Jeff and Nicolle, Thanks! I cleaned the aluminum bracket as best I could, then I sprayed it with some aluminum VHT High heat paint I had left over from spraying my headers.

Thanks for reminding me about that Doc lol Yeah I figured I'd paint the pulleys the same color as the engine block. The chrome alternator came from my dad lol

I wish I would have went with a 302. I have my '95 351W using EFI. The 302 EFI is all over the web! I know the 351 isnt a whole lot different but its wider, wide enough to get in the way! anyway looks great! And for the snot? well just keep a box-o-rags handy

Got a few more things done, bought some shims to change the pinion angle which is at 2 1/2* now, Shimmed the transmission to the same angle.

Run some rear brake line on the axle, its not perfect but neither am I LOL

Finally got the starter that fit my block hugger headers, I saw this one on ebay and the place that was selling them was only about 25 minutes from my house so I just drove down and picked it up. It comes with a 1 year warranty and was about 60 bucks plus tax.

Yeah its the same serpentine setup as the donor lincoln town car I had minus the power steering pump. Only thing I had to do was get a shorter belt.
