For those not aware of the way the City of Santa Monica celebrates the 4th of July, they do their fireworks the Saturday night prior to the 4th. This is technically NEXT Saturday, but they are doing it tonight in the stadium of SMCC. Free entry and parking.

A spectacular show again this year complements of the City of Santa Monica. Saw some pyrotechnics I've never seen before. Wish I knew what they were called.
